Consumer Safety Guaranteed By The Consumer Protection Act
July 27, 2010 7:30 am LegalConsumers can feel a little safer now, much safer than they would have felt several years ago, when there was no guarantee that consumer products and services were safe. The Consumer Protection Act 1987 has guaranteed that all goods sold to consumers are safe, and that includes water, food, medicine and gas. Section 2 of this act specifically states that those found liable of producing goods which cause death, injury or damage to property will be subjected to the full extent of the law. The impact of this act is far-reaching, as producers are now required to ensure the quality and safety of their goods and services.
