The Whitehouse embodies the United States government. It is the present residence of the president and his family and a place where executive meetings and special congregations take place.

The American government is comprised of various departments such as follows: executive, judicial and legislative branch. Taking the description from the Whitehouse online page, “the authority of the executive branch is vested in the President, who also serves as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces while the judicial branch hears cases that trial or need interpretation of the legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President.” Meanwhile, the legislative branch of the federal government consists of the Congress, which is divided into two chambers — the Senate and the House of Representatives.
