Chew Gum to Improve Your Memory
April 29, 2009 9:18 am HealthThere are many things you can do to improve your memory. For example, you can learn memory techniques, improve your diet, play brain games, or take a fish oil supplement. But perhaps one of the simplest tricks for improving your memory is to chew gum.
That’s right. The simple act of constant chewing helps increase the flow of blood to your brain. More blood to your brain means more oxygen, and that helps you think and recall better by increasing your concentration and keeping you more alert.
Chewing gum not only helps improve your memory, it can help with other brain skills as well. One recent study demonstrated that school age children who chewed gum during class actually improved their math scores by three percent over students who did not chew gum.
