A successful weight loss diet
February 28, 2009 5:16 am HealthFor an effective weight loss diet, you must avoid foods that are high in sugar or starch, including most things made with flour or sugar, food with added sugar, grains, and starchy vegetables like corn and potatoes.
You cannot expect to put on a few pounds a year over ten years or so, then lose it all overnight. You must be realistic with your diet goals and cannot expect miracles to happen. Of all the foods we grew up, the foods with lots of fat, sugar, and flour, once considered part of the basic diet, have since proven to have negative effects on our bodies. Maintaining a healthy body and mind takes work and some sacrifice in our dietary habits. Eat wisely and stay healthy.
