My dog is a large St. Bernard which I have had for a few months now. She is great around me and my kids, but whenever somebody new comes to the door, she goes crazy. It doesn’t matter if its the postman, the garbage collection or even family and friends, she just growls and barks at the door and the people when they come in. It wouldn’t be too much of a problem if she was smaller, but she weighs over 120 pounds! She’s too strong for me. Luckily there is an NJ dog trainer in my area and I am confident that it will help my dog calm down!

In the event that you haven’t attempted this idea yet, the lure and reward method is a great way of training your dog. The free puppies to good home definitely benefit from this technique!
An exceptional advantage of this approach is that it permits a normal action to become a visual cue… a type of sign language for your puppy. This is actually so awesome! Pet dogs are really visual and they typically react to body movements considerably better than they do to sound. (You’ll need to keep this in your head because many times it may well work against you: to your puppy, your voice might possibly be saying one thing while your gesture is declaring the contrary. In puppy communication, body gesture trumps verbal expressions each and every time. We will take care of this in more depth later.)
Think about being able to make use of hand signals as instructions for your dog when you are on the cellphone, or too far away for your doggy to hear you. It’s actually most certainly something well worth pursuing!

Determining a dog bed’s place in your home should be a preliminary factor in your buying decision. Does your dog sleep in a different room, that you have spared or in your own bed room, kitchen or living room? Does it have a crate? Does your dog prefer the outdoors? It is vital to ensure that the bed is well accommodated in the dog’s sleeping area, and at the same time gives them convenience and a feeling of protection.
To prevent your pet from being, uncomfortable in a short and crowded bed, specially designed large dog beds are available from most pet stores.
