Improved use of teleconferencing services

When we are doing conference calls at my company we often have meetings with other people who don’t have experience at this task. They need to study up on the basics of how to use teleconferencing services so the meetings will go more smoothly. For example, the first time someone speaks, they should say their name, instead of just starting to talk out of the blue. Say "Hi this is John. The answer to that question would be…." That way everyone knows who is speaking. Also have a list of names, then check off each person who contributes. If someone has said nothing at all, ask them a direct question, such as "John what do you think the timeline would be on this project?" This way everyone is involved and nobody gets left out.
