Outside of a bedroom door you’d be standing in the corridor, if you’re in the bedroom you’re looking at the interior of the door. If you’re standing on your front porch taking a look at the front door, then your are having a look at the exterior of the door. Door handing is always done from the exterior of the Door handles . Whatever side the hinges are on, when viewed from the outside is the same as the door hand. If the hinges are on the right, it is a right hand door. If the hinges are on the left, it is a left hand door.
