One fatal accident took place in Miami in April 2006 in which a construction worker died plunging 39 stories while he was working on a condominium in downtown Miami. Wrokers were attempting to secure a crane to the future Marianblue building whena pice came crashing down. This project belonged to Hyperion Development Group based in Miami and was a fatal Tower Crane Accident In Florida. There have been other construction site fatalities in Florida. Experts suggest that the rules and regulations in the use of tower cranes need to be re-examined. There is a need for uniformity in the regulation of this type of equipment.
