What is it about little girls and ballet? For some reason it seems that when little girls first start talking about a particular type of dancing (beyond the toddler stage where they just bounce and jump around to music and call it dancing), they talk about ballet. My three year old will be playing a pretend game and tell me she is dancing ballet. And when you read about girls taking dance lessons in books, they are always taking ballet class! With all the other types of dance around, somehow little girls always choose ballet to dream about. Maybe it is the pink tutus?
